WA Recycling is currently supplying recycled pavement materials to assist with the upgrading of the Great Eastern Highway Bypass, Roe Highway and Abernethy Rd with additional lanes, new interchanges, bridges and shared pathways. The material is being used to assist in the temporary construction of extra lanes and in the new road construction. WA Recycling are also taking construction and demolition waste from the project and recycled this waste to produce recycled road base and aggregates which are going back into the construction of these upgraded roads. Works commenced in late 2022.
